What to Pack?

I've been searching online for a good packing list and have found many great sites but none as so good as this one!

So far the essentials seem to be:

• Passports
• Airplane Tickets
• Japan Railpass purchasing order
• Japanese yen in cash if possible
• Travel Insurance
• Travel paperwork (directions, hotel reservation info, etc)
• Telephone numbers of any Japanese contacts/hotel reservations
• Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
• Photocopy of all these documents
• Small suitcase/extra bag
• Purse
• Camera - large and small
• Pocket tissue/handiwipes
• Dictionary (Japanese Conversation book) / Guidebook
• Walking shoes/sandals
• Prescription/OTC Medicine
• Glasses/Contact lenses/Case
• Sunglasses
• Light Jacket/raincoat
• Nightwear - shorts and t-shirt
• Socks 3-4 pairs
• Underwear 3-4 pairs
• Bra 1-2
• T-shirts 3-4
• Nice shirt/Dress
• Tank top & Cardigan
• Pants/shorts 1-2 of each
• Razor
• Washcloth
• Laptop & cord
• Dictionary/phrase book
• Guidebook/maps
• Plastic bags (can be trash bags)
• Notebook
• Cosmetics/amenities
• Gifts & postcards from Seattle
• Business cards & carrying case
• Photos from home
• Batteries
• Books to read
• ipod/earbuds and charger cord

I seem to keep adding to this list so it's a work in progress... Mind you Jeff and I have to fit it all in a backpack each... Ughh.

Japan in a few weeks...

Jeff and I will be headed to Japan in a few short weeks! We've been talking about going for quite sometime and I can't believe it is almost here. We'll be posting pictures and writing about our mini adventure for our friends and family to check out.

As of right now our itinerary is:
Tokyo
Hiroshima
Fukuoka
Beppu
Kyoto
Tokyo

However, it's pretty flexible... Stay tuned!
